BOONAH SHEDS - FAQ's

Welcome to Boonah Sheds FAQ's

Do you organise council approval?

Yes. We supply fully engineered plans and can assist with arranging private certification or council approval where required. Every shed is designed to meet Australian Standards and the wind rating for your property location.

Do I need a concrete slab before my shed is installed?

No. We handle concrete and earthworks in-house, including site cuts, levelling and slabs. You can choose a full shed + slab package so everything is managed by one team. If you prefer to use your own concreter, that’s also fine — we will provide the exact slab specifications.

How long does it take to get a shed installed?

Timelines vary based on design, engineering, approvals, and weather, but typical timeframes are:
  • Quote: 24–72 hours
  • Engineering & plans: 1–2 weeks
  • Approval (if required): 2–6 weeks
  • Manufacture & delivery: 4-6 weeks
  • Installation: Usually 1–5 days depending on size
We keep you updated through every stage so you know exactly what to expect.

What wind rating will my shed be engineered to?

Your shed will be engineered to meet the specific Terrain Category and Wind Region for your site as required under the National Construction Code. This ensures your shed is compliant, safe and built for local conditions.

Can I customise the size and design of my shed?

Absolutely. Every Boonah Sheds building is custom-made:
  • Width, length, height
  • Bay configuration
  • Roller doors, PA doors & sliding doors
  • Windows, airflow & ventilation
  • Insulation & wall options
  • Garaports, awnings & extensions
You’re not locked into standard kits — your shed is designed around your property.

What materials do you use?

We use Australian-made Colorbond® and Galvabond steel engineered for Queensland conditions. All components meet ShedSafe® and Australian engineering standards.

Do you supply only, or do you install as well?

We offer both:
  • Supply Only: You install the kit or use your own installer.
  • Supply + Install + Concrete: Our full package where we handle everything from earthworks to final build. (Scenic Rim, Logan, West Brisbane & Gold Coast)
Most customers choose the full package for simplicity and peace of mind.

Do I need to be home during installation?

No. As long as we have access to the site, our installers and concreting team can complete all stages of the build. We’ll contact you before and after each stage.

Do you build on sloping or uneven blocks?

Yes. We assess your property and provide levelling, site cuts or retaining options where required.

What payment structure do you use?

A typical shed build includes:
  1. Deposit to start engineering
  2. Progress payment for manufacturing
  3. Final payments for concrete and installation
Payment schedules vary by project size and package type, and will be clearly outlined in your quote.

Can you match an online shed price?

We focus on quality, engineering compliance and full-service delivery. Online shed prices often exclude engineering, wind-rating upgrades, concrete, freight and installation. We can review any comparison and help you understand the differences.

What areas do you service?

We supply and install sheds throughout: Boonah, Kalbar, Harrisville, Aratula, Beaudesert, Canungra, Kooralbyn, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Jimboomba, Flagstone, Logan Village, Tamborine, Tamborine Mountain and selected Brisbane & Gold Coast suburbs.
